As many of you already know, we had to make the difficult decision of not hosting an in-person Trans Pride event until after the current outbreak of COVID-19 has settled down. However, we know that our community needs each other more than ever before. So we’ve been brainstorming with our friends at Heartspark Press and Traction PNW for the last month to create something entirely new for June 2020: TRANS PRIDE SEATTLE PLUS! <3
This year. we’ll be hosting a multi-day online event from June 26 to June 28. You can count on beloved performances and speakers, just like usual, but this time around we’ll be hosting a whole lot of workshops and other things — RIGHT FROM YOUR HOME! Our friends at Three Dollar Bill Cinema will be joining us, too! We’re still working on all of the details, but things are moving right along and we are so excited about where its heading. However, we are definitely going to need your help to bring this dream project to life.
Today, we are opening up our first ever on-line CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: WORKSHOPS BY AND FOR TRANS & NON-BINARY PEOPLE throughout the Pacific Northwest. We’re especially looking for workshops and/or panels that address intersectionality (such as race, ability, class, gender identity, sexuality, and more). If you are a trans or non-binary person with a topic that you’ve been dreaming (or already have perfected) to share with the world, this is your opportunity to shine. Submit your idea by May 20, 2020 and let’s get started.
