To our Trans Pride Family, we want to share with you that after conferring with local public health officials and the City of Seattle, Trans Pride Seattle, Seattle PrideFest and Seattle Pride made the collective decision to shift our annual Pride celebrations to a series of virtual events this year in an abundance of caution and concern for our community’s health and well-being.
Although we want to march with you more than anything in the world, we will have the opportunity to connect and make our voices heard during a series of virtual events this June. Don’t worry though! We’re also working together with Seattle PrideFest and Seattle Pride to celebrate in-person later in the summer, when it may be safer to resume community festivals. We’ll be sure to share these details with you as soon as they are available.
We are so thankful for our community support, and for you as we now shift towards creating a new kind of Pride celebration – one which will bring all of us together when we need it the most. Until then, Rock on!
